The title operates on multiple levels. The story of Season 1 follows (Arunoday Singh), a senior police inspector with the Uttarakhand Police who is both highly decorated and deeply financially compromised. The plot is set into motion when he is approached by Madhu Tyagi (Mahie Gill), the manipulative stepmother of a young woman named Anusha (Monica Chaudhary).
