Portable Document Spear

Law firms and banks deal with sensitive documents that must be read but not copied or forwarded. A Portable Document Spear can enforce “read-once” policies, prevent screenshots (via overlays that detect screen-capture attempts), and revoke access remotely even after the document has been downloaded. This transforms the PDS into a digital notary.

The weaponized PDF is delivered to the target, typically as an email attachment but increasingly via cloud storage links, shared drives, or messaging platforms. The delivery email is carefully crafted to appear legitimate, often impersonating a known contact, superior, or trusted vendor. Attackers may use compromised legitimate email accounts or subtly spoofed domains to bypass authentication checks.

The Portable Document Spear is impractical for most office workflows but ideal for ceremonial declarations, contract enforcement in competitive negotiations, and desktop decoration. Future work includes the Portable Document Trebuchet for remote collaboration. Portable Document Spear

Many creatives still prefer brainstorming on index cards or sticky notes. A portable spear allows you to stack story beats, script changes, or lyrical ideas in sequential order while working from a remote cabin or a busy cafe. Maintenance and Safety Tips

Climate Control: High-end spears feature O-ring seals making them waterproof and dustproof. This is vital for field researchers or construction managers working in unpredictable environments.

Testimonials

“The help I got from the harm reduction program was more than just clean equipment, it was about being with people who didn’t judge me for my addiction, and who really wanted to help.”
~ Sam, a 50-year-old former drug user and sex worker in Carrboro, NC

“Too often, drug users suffer discrimination, are forced to accept treatment, marginalized, and often harmed by approaches which over-emphasize criminalization and punishment while under-emphasizing harm reduction and respect for human rights. This is despite the longstanding evidence that a harm reduction approach is the most effective way of protecting rights, limiting personal suffering, and reducing the incidence of HIV.”
~ Navanethem Pillay, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, March 10, 2009
